Committee for Working Class Leadership & Strategy (C4)
At POWER we believe that our organizing must be guided by our understanding of the root causes of the problems we are struggling to over-come. Similarly we believe that our understanding of the world must be informed from the lessons we learn when we are engaged in struggle. Every action that we take and that others have taken in the struggle for justice - whether a success or failure - can teach us something. We build all of our campaigns and actions off of the previous lessons.
In 2003, POWER created the Committee for Working Class Leadership and Strategy (C4) to provide a space for leaders and staff to formalize this part of our work.
C4 is a space where we come together for advanced political education and to support organizing amongst all no- and low-wage workers. C4 is also the space where we are beginning to write and distribute publications that offer analysis, raise questions and create and opening for dialog with other no- and low-wage worker organizations, and within the global movement for racial and economic justice. As we put them together, we look forward to feedback and responses to these publications.
