Poor People's March for Justice

The Campaign Against proposition N culminated with over 1000 people pouring into the streets for the Poor People's March for Justice! POWER worked with groups from across the City - including the Day Labor Program, the Chinese Progressive Association, the Coalition on Homelessness, and St. Peter's Housing Committee. It was a massive procession from 24th Street and Mission all the way through the South of Market neighborhood, ultimately winding through the Tenderloin and ended up at City Hall. The march opposed anti-poor initiatives on the ballot and called for attention to the urgent need for job creation and affordable housing in San Francisco.
